Being a Christian is being a disciple of Jesus Christ. Being a disciple of Jesus Christ is being a Christian. Discipleship is the definition of being a Christian.
Definitions of disciple:
– one who accepts and assists in spreading the doctrines of another
– one of the twelve in the inner circle of Christ’s followers according to the Gospel accounts
– a person who is a pupil or an adherent of the doctrines of another; follower
John 10:4
And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”
Matthew 4:19-20
Jesus called out to them, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” And they left their nets at once and followed him.

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. When I sat in prison broken and defeated, I surrendered my life to Jesus! I told Jesus that I would serve Him the rest of the days of my life. I told Him I was through following this lying world and believing all of its broken promises. All I wanted was Jesus! Then Jesus spoke to me,” TAKE CARE OF MY BUSINESS AND I WILL TAKE CARE OF YOUR BUSINESS”
I take God at His Word and now my life is His and I serve Him, follow Him and tend to His business which is the harvest of souls and the edifying of His church the body of Jesus Christ! When my life gets out of whack or I am having difficulties dealing with stress or if I am in the middle of a trial I go to this one Truth! I go and tell people about Jesus the one who saved my soul from hell. I minister to God’s lost children and I labor in His fields. It is in this good work that I do that God is glorified and I am able to find peace because I know that when I am following Jesus (discipleship), the very thing I am called to do, while I am taking care of God’s business He is taking care of mine! I know I get the better end of that deal because God can surely take care of my business much better than I can take care of His.
So when life comes at you hard….you go hard for the work, purpose and will of God and leave your life in His good hands! Instead of worrying about your own life go help someone else with theirs! Believe me…this works every time!!!
John 13:34-35
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
If you feel unloved, over-stressed, unappreciated, lonely, depressed or any other negative feeling go love God’s children and tell them about Jesus Christ and see how He will change your feelings and your life!!!
