Who Are the Sons & Daughters of Thunder?

A Movement of Ordinary People Ignited by an Extraordinary God

We are not celebrities.

We are not religious professionals.

We are not perfect people.

We are men and women whose lives have been radically transformed by the saving power of Jesus Christ.

Some of us came from addiction.

Some came from prison.

Some came from lives of rebellion, brokenness, fear, and hopelessness.

But every one of us has encountered the living Christ.

He rescued us.

He restored us.

He filled us with His Holy Spirit.

Now we live for one purpose alone—to make Him known.

We are Sons & Daughters of Thunder.

A generation set on fire for Jesus Christ.

We Are Disciples of Jesus Christ

Before we are missionaries…

Before we are evangelists…

Before we are ministers…

We are disciples.

Jesus did not simply save us from something.

He saved us for something.

We have surrendered our lives completely to His Lordship, choosing to follow Him wherever He leads, regardless of the cost.

Our greatest desire is not comfort or success—it is obedience.

We refuse to return to the lives Christ delivered us from.

For us, following Jesus is not a temporary decision.

It is a lifelong commitment.

There is no turning back.

There is no compromise.

There is no retreat.

By the grace of God, we press forward with hearts that burn for His presence and lives fully surrendered to His will.

“Who makes His angels spirits, His ministers a flame of fire.”

We Are Soldiers of Jesus Christ

The Kingdom of God is advancing, and every believer has been called to stand courageously in the spiritual battle.

We do not fight with hatred, violence, or human strength.

Our weapons are prayer.

Faith.

Love.

The Word of God.

The Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We willingly go into places many people fear to enter—prisons, graveyards, drug camps, forgotten communities, and the darkest corners of society—not because we are fearless in ourselves, but because Christ goes before us.

We are called to rescue the hurting.

To seek the lost.

To proclaim freedom to the captives.

To bring hope where despair has ruled for generations.

We fight not against people, but against the spiritual darkness that keeps people enslaved.

Our mission is simple:

Go where Jesus would go.

Love who Jesus would love.

Do what Jesus would do.

“You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.”

We Are Ambassadors of Heaven

This world is not our home.

We represent another Kingdom.

Every conversation…

Every relationship…

Every opportunity…

is a chance to represent Jesus Christ.

Once we were separated from God ourselves.

Now we carry the message of reconciliation.

We proclaim the Good News that forgiveness is available.

Freedom is possible.

Hope is alive.

No addiction is too powerful.

No prison is too secure.

No graveyard is too dark.

No sinner is too far gone for the grace of God.

The same Jesus who rescued us is able to rescue anyone who calls upon His name.

“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us.”

We Are Filled with the Power of the Holy Spirit

Jesus never intended His followers to live powerless lives.

He promised that His Spirit would empower His Church to become His witnesses to the ends of the earth.

That promise still stands today.

We believe in the power of the Holy Spirit to save the lost, heal the broken, deliver the oppressed, restore families, and transform entire communities.

We believe miracles still happen.

We believe chains are still broken.

We believe captives are still being set free.

We believe Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Because of that, we refuse to settle for a powerless Christianity.

We are called to carry His presence into every nation, every city, every prison, every graveyard, every village, every neighborhood, and every place where darkness has tried to claim victory.

“You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me…”

We Are Light Bearers

Darkness does not overcome light.

Light overcomes darkness.

This is our calling.

We carry the Light of Jesus Christ into places where hope has nearly disappeared.

We walk into addiction with hope.

We walk into prisons with freedom.

We walk into broken families with restoration.

We walk into forgotten communities with compassion.

We walk into nations with the Gospel.

Every rescued soul is another light shining in the darkness.

Every restored family becomes another testimony of God’s faithfulness.

Every disciple becomes another torchbearer carrying the Gospel farther than we could ever go alone.

Our mission is not merely to preach sermons.

It is to ignite revival by introducing people to the One who is the Light of the World.

Jesus Christ.

“The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death Light has dawned.”

Our Declaration

We refuse to be spectators.

We refuse to be comfortable while others are perishing.

We refuse to hide the Light that Christ has placed within us.

We choose obedience over convenience.

Faith over fear.

Compassion over comfort.

Holiness over compromise.

We will go wherever Jesus sends us.

We will love those the world has forgotten.

We will proclaim the Gospel until every nation has heard.

We are disciples.
