Boots On The Ground

The term “Boots on the Ground” is a military term used to describe soldiers who are engaged in active combat rather than just being at war.  These soldiers have already been trained to engage the enemy.  I believe this term speaks about us as Christians in the Lord’s army as well. We are warriors of God, who the Lord has been training for battle, and are about to be released. We are being released to engage the enemy in the spiritual realm.  As Christians we all have our place in the Lord’s army…every gift, every calling has a purpose; to destroy the works of the evil one!  We will be able to do this by being submitted to the Lord, on every level.

The Lord equips those he calls, we only need to answer His call, and allow Him to work through us, and he will strengthen us, and give us all we need to be victorious.  Church, its time to engage, it’s time to step into the enemies territory, its time for boots on the ground!

Joel 3:9-11 ~ Proclaim this among the nations: “Prepare for war! Wake up the mighty men, let all the men of war draw near, let them come up. Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ ” Assemble and come, all you nations, and gather together all around. Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, O Lord.

Ephesians 6:10-13 ~ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the [b]wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [c]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Psalm 18:39 ~ For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have [i]subdued under me those who rose up against me.

Psalm 144:1 ~ Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.

ARE YOUR BOOTS STRAPPED?!?
