ADDICTION resides in the dark recesses of our flesh. It has been seeded there long ago by the enemy as a weapon intended to kill, steal and destroy. He uses addiction to manipulate the weakness of our flesh and its propensity to seek pleasure with no regard for the consequences. The purpose of this weapon is to take us into darkness so that we get lost and separated from our life-source in God and to keep us blinded from the Truth of Jesus Christ as our Savior. It lays in waiting calling to us and whispering lies trying to perpetrate deceptions in our minds to capture our attention and indulge our imagination. If we listen to the voices of our flesh we will go the way of the flesh which is destruction. The Word of God says, “Walk in the Spirit and do not be led by the desires of the flesh.” We must continually crucify the flesh and turn from its passions and follow Jesus in Spirit and Truth. Do not listen to the flesh and do not be deceived by its lying murmurs. We have Victory over all addictions, the flesh, the world, all sin, our sinful nature and the enemy in Jesus Christ. There is no addiction In Christ and the cure for addiction is in His rest! “WE WIN BECAUSE HE HAS WON AND WE WIN WHEN WE ARE ONE WITH HIM” We overcome addiction when we SURRENDER ALL to Jesus Christ and allow the Holy Spirit to burn it out of our souls and make it retreat back into the deep dark recesses of the flesh.
Galatians 5:16
So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
Galatians 5:24
Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
Romans 13:14
Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.
1 Corinthians 15:57
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
