“Anyone can say they are a Christian, but not everyone can die like one”
Mark 8:35
For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.
John 12:24
Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.
1 Corinthians 15:31
I protest, brothers, by my pride in you, which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die every day!
Philippians 1:21
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Brothers and sisters! Are you ready to give up everything to follow Jesus? Just as He gave up everything to save us! Are you ready to die to yourself, your desires, your dreams, your hopes and wishes and your own will to take on the will of the Father and His purpose for your life? Are you ready to die to your own understanding and receive the understanding of the Lord?
Do not deceive yourselves another day! You cannot do better for yourselves than God can do for you. Get out of His way and let Him direct your steps. Die now to yourself and be buried in Jesus Christ so you will spring forth from that burial and rise up in Him and bear much fruit. This fruit is fruit that will last eternity not the fruit that we dreamed for ourselves when we asked Jesus into our lives but the real fruit of the Kingdom of God! His works that He prepared for us before the foundations of the earth to bring Glory and Honor to His Name. The works, and the faith that drives these works deep into eternity and rewards us with a crown that we can throw at the feet of our Savior!
Brothers and Sisters, “Die a good death in Jesus Christ today!”
