When we compare the physical realm to the spiritual realm, think of them as a whole and see them as an iceberg. The physical is the part above the water that you see, the tip of the iceberg. The spiritual is the massive portion underneath the water that your eyes are unable to see. Think of your life as a ship sailing through the ocean and you encounter an iceberg and you try to pass it without it affecting the hull of your vessel. You may miss the part of the iceberg that you can see when you pass by, but it’s what you do not see that can affect you the most and cause you to pass by safely or cause your fatal destruction. This is the same as it relates to the spiritual realm in your life, the unseen part. If you only focus on that which you can see and ignore that which you cannot see then you are missing the most important part. We are not physical beings that sometimes have a spiritual experience. We are created spiritual beings having a spiritual experience while in our bodies that are in the physical realm. The physical realm is just a manifestation of that which already and has always existed in the spiritual. Usually, around one tenth of an iceberg’s mass can be seen above the surface of the water, with the bulk of the iceberg being submerged. The physical aspect of our lives is only a small portion of our overall existence and is the less influential part with the emphasis always being on the spiritual.
