Jesus Calms The Storm

Mark 4:35-41 (NLT) ~ย As evening came, Jesus said to his disciples, โ€œLetโ€™s cross to the other side of the lake.โ€ ย So they took Jesus in the boat and started out, leaving the crowds behind (although other boats followed). ย But soon a fierce storm came up. High waves were breaking into the boat, and it began to fill with water. ย Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, โ€œTeacher, donโ€™t you care that weโ€™re going to drown?โ€ย ย When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves,โ€œSilence! Be still!โ€ ย Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm. ย Then he asked them, โ€œWhy are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?โ€ ย The disciples were absolutely terrified. โ€œWho is this man?โ€ they asked each other. โ€œEven the wind and waves obey him!โ€

Psalm 46:10 (NKJV) ~ย Be still, and know that I am God;ย I will be exalted among the nations,ย I will be exalted in the earth!

Psalm 107:29 (VOICE) ~ย He commanded the storm to calm down, and it became still. ย A hush came over the waves of the sea
