We Are At War…
Ephesians 6:12
For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
This enemy’s only goal is to destroy you and steal from you your blessings, peace and salvation.
John 10:10
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
The enemy does not sleep or tire he is constantly attacking.
1 Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
The enemy attacks your mind through imaginations and thoughts brought about in your own desires, the desires of your flesh and carnal mind. The battlefield is in the mind. Are we fighting back or are we just accepting these imaginations and thoughts that will eventually lead to sin.
James 1:14-15
But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.
Trust the Word not your mind because your mind will betray you. The lies and deceptions of the enemy are constantly being planted in your mind. Fight back and never give in to the attack in your mind.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ
God has given you the authority and power to take these thoughts captive and destroy the mental strongholds where they are seeded. Close the door on thoughts, fight back and do not give up. Rebuke the thoughts, call on the name of Jesus and replace the thoughts with God’s Truth in His Word.
Philippians 4:8
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
We are more than conquerors!
Romans 8:36-37
As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
You have been baptized in Jesus name and filled with His Holy Spirit which is power and the authority to use that power to defeat the enemy is the name of Jesus which you have been baptized into.
Acts 2:38
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
You have the unlimited power of the Spirit of the Living God. No weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Acts 1:8
But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Ephesians 1:19-20
and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
We are called to be witnesses of Jesus Christ and to make disciples of nations. We believe in the name of Jesus, we are baptized into that name and then we are filled with the Holy Spirit just as Peter and the other disciples were on the day of Pentecost and we receive power to overcome, to be a good witness and to fulfill our mission in God.
Acts 2:1-4
When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
We are over-comers and we are victorious in Jesus.
Romans 12:11
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.
Continue in the fight and finish the race and overcome to the end. Eternal Life will be yours in Jesus name!
Revelation 3:5
He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels.
